Does any person know of a perfect free program to transfer avi (dvd) files to mpeg format. I hear of mpeg encoder is good, but it needs payment. Don't would like to pay for one only yet load it cannot move rightly. Like to be available to watch+enjoy dvds at work, however the laptops would only run mpeg documents, also cannot install decoders on it either.

Does anybody know of a great free converting movie software. I own a quite a few wmv's that I want to convert to no matter dv, mpg, avi or mov to edit. I have finished a google search but I haven't found out one which is free of charge let alone on the Mac system. wmv video converter is powerful, but is unable to meet my demand. However if it is windows based only that is fine to, I could operate it in vmware. Thanks

I just encountered a software that makes me to conserve flash media to my drive, issue is that I want to be possible to enjoy it in VLC media player, therefore, I'll demand to transfer them. So that how could I transfer the files into Xvid (possibly)? Is a converter as xvid converter meaningful? I am sorry for the likely newbish problem.

Hi all, I'm doing my best to do a backup of a DVD video that I own but while I start the copy it informs that the DVD I am trying to duplicate is copy protected. Does any people know of any program as dvd clone that will get round this? It's very irritating as I do actually have the disc and would like to do a reasonable backup of it!! Thank you in advance.
